5 crazy things to do in Singapore
With its chaotic streets, towering skyscrapers and mosaic of cultures and ethnic groups, Singapore is one of the most unique and exhilarating places to visit on Earth. A non-stop assault on the senses, Singapore always has something to do and see. Given its hectic pace of life and exotic atmosphere, the city is not for the faint of heart. Adventure seekers and those looking for a new thrill will find plenty of crazy and unusual attractions. From ethnic enclaves to some of the world’s most jaw-dropping observation decks, Singapore offers plenty of thrilling- if not downright insane- attractions and sites of interest.
Among 5 crazy things to do in Singapore belong:
1. Altitude Gallery
Located at 1 Raffles Place in the heart of Singapore’s central business district, this observation deck offers mind-blowing views of the city’s skyline and harbor. Soaring some 925 feet into the sky, the 1- Altitude Gallery is one of the tallest observation decks in Asia and features panoramic, 360 degree views. A top spot for thrill seekers, the observation deck also has a bar and cutting-edge, interactive cameras that let guests see information about the specific landmarks they are viewing.
2. Marina Bay Sands Casino
Singapore’s largest and most lavish casino, the Marina Bay Sands Casino offers a plethora of games, bars, shops, restaurants and entertainment establishments. Home to 1,500 slot machines, 600 game tables and non-stop action, this casino is among the world’s glitziest and a prime destination for those in search of a crazy time.
3. Sands SkyPark
Soaring 55 stories above the bustling streets below, the Sands SkyPark is one of the world’s most spectacular and unique attractions. This massive park sprawls across the top of three hotel towers and offers stunning views of the city, a world-class restaurant, as well as a pool that sits on the park’ edge- right next to the edge of the tower! For a crazy and unforgettable experience, thrill seekers should head to the Sands SkyPark as soon as they arrive in Singapore. I don’t recommend to book a room there since it’s expensive, but you can choose one of the hotels in Singapore and visit the Sands SkyPark.
4. Singapore Flyer
This huge observation wheels boasts unparalleled views of Singapore and even offers cocktails and some of the Singapore’s famed, exotic cuisine. For a thrilling view of the city and a truly unique experience, the Singapore Flyer is one of the city’s best attractions.
5. Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam
These three ethnic enclaves offer exotic cuisine, bustling streets to explore and a first-hand look at Singapore’s unique fusion of cultures from across the world. Visitors can sample authentic Chinese food in Chinatown as well as unique, local favorites like chili crab legs. Little India is filled with colorful shops, restaurants and markets while Kampong Glam blends Malay and Arab culture with Singapore’s own unique flair. Taken together these three ethnic neighborhoods offer an exhilarating and exotic experience for visitors to the city. The craziest thing would be to understand all these cultures.
These attractions and landmarks barely scratch the surface of the craziness that Singapore has to offer. Visitors can also check out the Singapore Zoo, Botanic Gardens, the heart-stopping races at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, high-tech megamalls like Sim Lim Square and so much more. With its exotic flair and relentless energy, Singapore never gets boring.
In my opinion, Singapore is one of the best places on Earth for night photography so you should make walking and taking photos at night as one of the things to do in Singapore.
