5 Great ways to make money while traveling
How to Make Money While Traveling — 5 Ways
With the borders between countries gradually disappearing, we are now free to choose our travel destinations. In most cases, it is enough to visit a travel agency website and make the necessary arrangements. You can also organize your vacation by using various online platforms such as TripAdvisor or GasBuddy.
However, we may sometimes have difficulty preparing for a trip (e.g., making hotel arrangements, booking a flight, getting travel insurance, etc.). If you are planning an ordinary vacation, you are probably well-off financially and can choose travel destinations according to your status. Such trips usually last no more than two weeks due to some restrictions related to money and work.
But, there is an alternative approach whereby people choose traveling over stable employment. In this case, your trips are longer and more frequent, but the main issue remains the same — finding financial resources for living in another country. Nevertheless, this is a perfect opportunity for young people and students to see the world.
If you belong to the latter category, you are probably worried about your studies, right? Well, these days, you can study remotely and live an exciting life wherever you want to. But will it be that exciting if you have to do a lot of academic assignments at the same time? The best solution for you will be to hire a case study writing specialist who will take care of all your assignments and let you enjoy the view from your hotel room window.
Having a splendid vacation requires some serious investment. But don’t let that worry you — we are going to show you how you can combine traveling and earning money easily! After reading our tips, you’ll be ready to face any financial challenge with confidence!
1. Teaching English
It is an ideal solution for those who are proficient in the language. These days you can work as an English teacher at a private school or become a private tutor. You may be thinking now, “But that’s only for native speakers.” Well, not necessarily. Even if your English is not that good, you can still find someone whose English is even worse and share your experience with them. You can place an ad on social media or simply ask around if anyone needs your services.
2. Resort Jobs
If you feel your English isn’t good enough, you can try applying for resort jobs. You can find a lot of resorts abroad looking for animators, receptionists, cleaners, and even lifeguards. You don’t need any special skills for these positions, but you still need to know at least some English.
3. Working at Hostels
Hostels (and sometimes hotels) can hire students in exchange for free lodging. For example, you can work as a receptionist or cleaner. If that prospect doesn’t scare you, you can enjoy the benefits of free accommodation and a part-time job. You can even work part-time and make enough money to visit local places of interest. Not bad, isn’t it?
4. Freelancing
Well, freelance work is a standard option. Freelancing lets you head somewhere hot and work in the shade of a palm tree. All it takes is a stable Internet connection and a laptop!
However, if you have little or no experience, you are unlikely to get a well-paid job right away. Competition is fierce, and you’ll need a brag-worthy portfolio to make enough money to enjoy your holiday. If you feel you can do it, this is the option for you.
5. Fruit Picking
If none of the above impresses you much, you can go for something more down-to-earth. Fruit picking requires no special skills and lets you enjoy nature firsthand. This isn’t the easiest way to earn money for your trip, but it is still acceptable.
All you need to know is that you’ll have to do physical work, and sometimes working conditions can be harsh. You will need a pair of rubber boots and an extra raincoat because you will be exposed to the elements all the time. But if you like gardening, you’ll have no problem with that.
What makes this option attractive is that you will be provided with food and accommodation. Keep in mind that your wages will depend on how much fruit you will pick a day.
This list can certainly be much longer, and you are welcome to add your suggestions to it. Just be creative and don’t let your fear stop you from traveling. Good luck!

Great advice – I have friends working in a hostel in Iceland and they love it! The earnings are incomparable to what they would get in our home country of Poland and also they get to experience an amazing country :) Personally I try to develop my own location-independent business and freelance :) Thanks for sharing!
