Why I have added Japan on my bucket list
I can’t wait to explore Japan and experience what the country has to offer. A place of diverse culture and amazing food, Japan is one of the newest additions to my bucket list, and there are so many reasons why.
Here are some reasons for you to visit Japan:
Delicious Delicacies
Where better to taste the best fish dishes, than the birthplace of sushi? From little sushi shops with conveyor belts packed with seafood treats (for me being vegan now just vegan sushi options with veggies only), to some of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants, there’s a sushi offering for all budgets. I will certainly be making the most of that! Now…what to pick first?
Unbelievable Transport
One of the other aspects that I think might have to be experienced to be believed, is Japan’s bullet trains, which cut nine hour journeys down to under three hours! They have the super clean interior that Japan does so well, making them ultra cool inside too. Who needs a theme park?
Fast Fashion
I’ve always loved quirky trends and looking at different styles, and Japan may be the best place to do this. With some of the trendiest and most up to date dressers, and some of the maddest and unique too, I can’t wait to indulge in some people, and fashion, spotting! Tokyo is definitely one of the Asia’s most fashionable cities.
Unwind the Right Way
Japan is well known for its beauty spots like the Kiyomizu-dera temple in Otowa, and the zen gardens like Tenryu-ji in Kyoto. Peace and tranquillity go hand in hand in beautiful surroundings, so relaxing in Japan should be easy.
Bright Lights and Busy Lives
But there’s the other side of Japan too. Namely the fast paced city-living that make Tokyo a must see. From marvelling at the lights of shopping hub, Shibuya or taking pictures by the Tokyo Tower, to walking through the dreamlike Chidorigafuchi, Tokyo is a place like no other.
Japanese Tipple
Sake is a well-known Japanese rice wine, that has the smoothest of tastes and fruitiest of flavours. It is thought that the true taste of Sake can only be had in Japan itself. Have you ever tried this drink?
Coolest Inventions
Always one step ahead of the game, Japan is full of technology genius! From robot dogs to self-cleaning toilets- they have a solution for everything. I’m hoping to discover something revolutionary!
Masters of Arts and Crafts
Some of the most stunning art can be found in Japan’s galleries, and I certainly plan on trying my hand at origami making while I’m there. The country has some of the cutest and most traditional crafts that they make look so easy. There are paper cranes dotted everywhere – even in nightclubs!
The list is endless, and it’s certain that Japan has to be one of the coolest countries. Bucket list worthy? I think so!
