Bad weather in London? Means relax to me
I was thinking about the places I have visited the most in the past years and I realised that when I used to live in Scotland, I went to London many times. If it was just to visit my cabin crew friends living there, having a lot of free time in between my flights so I could enjoy it properly and spend some quality time in London, or just when I really planned to visit this beautiful city with not such a beautiful weather.
Yes, my London visits became frequent in 2009 and 2010.
For many of us London is and will always be one of the greatest cities in the world. It is a pure fact and even I can say I do like London. Its atmosphere just gets under your skin no matter how hard you try to avoid it. I even stated London as one of the benefits of traveling to England because in my opinion, it definitely belongs there. There is much more to it than just London Bridge, Big Ben, London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden or City Hall.
But let’s be honest and just take myself as an example. Each time I was able to revisit London, guess what kind of weather I got? I bet you are right. Yes, rain and wind, or really unpleasant weather that you just wish to cuddle up somewhere inside and not to go out at all.
And who would like to walk around London when drizzling or when cold is getting under your nails?
Not me!
There are better things to do in London in that weather, I can tell. We should think in a positive way, right?
So for me, bad weather is a sign!
It means that I should take that day as one of my cheap spa days and relax. It is no secret that I love those days when someone is taking care of me, my skin, my mind and my body. I try to fit spa days into my schedule on purpose anyway as I am their biggest fan. Hot springs, sauna, swimming, jacuzzi, hydrotherapy, fitness studio, aromatherapy and other treatments. Please bring them all on! Everyone needs them.
And also massage in London would definitely be one of the options when the London weather does not let you to explore all its marvellous landmarks. Just leave those for next time and realise that like this destiny gives you a reason to revisit London again in the future and hope for a sunny day.
I am one of those people who have back in a ”desolate condition” like we say back home so no matter where in the world I am, I ALWAYS try to get a massage and relax in the spas. Why not to do it also when in London?

I love London. The weather isn’t quite as bad as everyone makes out – I’m sure it’s worse up in Scotland, at least during winter! – but when it does get wet, it’s just an excuse to go to the pub! And that, my friends, is the London way.

I’ve learned to enjoy London through the rain. It seems like every time I’ve been in the city, there have been the expected downpours. I usually opt for shopping! ;)

I also love using rainy days as an excuse to relax and pamper myself. Usually I do it with a good book, but I like the idea of going to a spa instead! :) And agree that London is a lovely city – one of my favorites.
