Must-visit beaches in Spain
The sunny weather and many attractions of Spain bring plenty of visitors flocking to its shores, with its beaches being one of the most popular choices. Tourists may want to spend holidays to Benidorm and see the beauty of this popular resort city or visit one of the other beach resorts that this awesome place has to offer. The following are some of the best to visit.
Levante Beach, Benidorm
For a chance to enjoy some beach fun Levante Beach in Benidorm is a great choice. A wet playground just off the shoreline has diving boards, swings and slides, and there are other water sports to enjoy. The less energetic can just sunbathe on the pristine sand or relax and enjoy the scenery from the promenade.
Cathedral Beach, Ribadeo
This is also known as Beach of the Holy Waters, popular for the massive rock formations along the shore. The nature has sculpted many of these into impressive arches and it is worth visiting to see them. The main area also has golden sand to enjoy and its attractions have gained the reputation as one of the best beaches in Spain.
Las Canteras Beach, Gran Canaria
Located at the heart of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Canteras is considered one of the best city beaches in Spain. Much of its 3 km length is sheltered by a coral sandstone barrier and this provides calm waters to swim in. Away from this the beach provides great surfing opportunities and the many sidewalk cafes provide a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy.
La Concha Beach, San Sebastian
This is another of Spain’s famous urban beaches and comprises a golden arc of sand that is around 1.5km in length. Its location in the Bay of La Concha provides it with calm waters for some great swimming opportunities. The city right behind also provides all the amenities to enjoy a relaxing time on the sand.
A beach vacation is a great way to enjoy Spain, with some of the must-visit coastal destinations being those shown above. I bet once you visit some beaches in Spain, you will keep coming for more.

Looks like most of the blogs I’ve been reading of late feature warm, tropical destinations. It’s getting me anxious for spring and summer–I’m shivering here in Montana currently.
BTW, as nice as these destinations are and seeing that you have yet to post about a Montana experience, any chance you’ll go stateside and visit my beloved state?
