Workshop Brain Wave Vibration in Panama with Coloreando Auras
When visiting Bocas del Toro islands in Panama, one of my favorite places in Central America, I dedicated a lot of time to me and to learning of new things. One of them was a Brain Wave Vibration workshop with Iliana Cabañas.
Sweet and always positive Lila, how everyone calls her, taught me how to do Reiki in Panama the following day when I passed the Reiki course level I.
Lila is a person I admire a lost. Straight from the very first meeting I knew we would get along very well. She dedicates to many things I love, too – Lila has been working with holistic methods for more than 13 years, out of which 11 years practiced Reiki; also teaches yoga and does acupuncture, massages, reflexology, and apitherapy with bee venom.
Lila combines Korean techniques with her own methods where she mixes a bit of everything she likes and she believes that works.
After some theory, we did cerebral respiration. We sat on the floor in the Indian style (we call it Turkish style) and started to move our head to the sides, not up and down. Some people can feel like vomiting or a sort of nausea as many people have their neck very tense. It’s important to start slowly.
Then we followed with a Tiger position on our back with both arms and legs up when Lila pressed the points in the middle of the feet and hands. This position is a very strong one, a very powerful sort of inversion when the heart can relax. This pose brings a lot of energy to the brain and the body regenerates itself.
Lila taught us about different kinds of breathing, such as abdominal or cerebral. Abdominal breathing should be breathing 68% into the abdomen, 30% to torso and 2% to clavicle area.
We learned also about the tapping method which activates the meridians, such as on the side of thighs, chest or belly. You need to do tapping slowly to activate also the stomach area and not to send a lot of oxygen to the brain straight away.
We also did cerebral gym exercise when we repeated a Kundalini yoga mantra to calm our mind – Sa Ta Na Ma = the meaning of the mantra words is birth, life, death and rebirth.
We did a lot of physical exercise and also brain ones, such as drawing a circle with one hand and simultaneously a square with the other.
I still remember how how we felt after all the exercises. Seemed so simple, but so worked!
We finished the class with dancing (and trust me, I do NOT like dancing at all but enjoyed this one very much.) Lila played I feel good song and Tonight it’s gonna be a good night by Black Eyed Peas.
To finish the workshop Brain Wave Vibration in Panama, we did my favorite difficult pose Savasana with You raise me up song in the background.
Many thanks to Danuta from Danuta’s Healing and Lila for this opportunity. If Holistic Healing is of your interest, I highly recommend trying a Brain Wave Vibration in Panama or Costa Rica with Lila. Check out her Facebook Coloreando Auras.

Sounds pretty interesting … I’ll have to try it if I ever make it out to Bocas Del Toro!

So try it when you get a chance. Maybe in San Jose in Costa Rica as Lila works there usually :)

This sounds really really cool. I’m fairly new to Yoga, but have tried it in a few different places here in Central America too. My fave was just a free class with a guy at La Tortuga Verde in El Salvador…it’s so cool to be talked through why you’re doing each pose, learning what you’re really getting out of it :)
