Exciting adventures in the Caribbean
Famed for its white sandy beaches, crystal waters and luxury resorts, the Caribbean has long been the destination of choice for sun worshipers. But there’s plenty more fun to be had than endless days at the beach. This paradise has some thrilling activities to keep the whole family happy.
Exciting adventures in the Caribbean:
Bobsled in Jamaica
Voted one of the top attractions in Ocho Rios, this thrilling ride is the best way to enjoy Jamaica’s stunning rainforest. Start with a guided tour up the 700 foot, Mystic Mountain peak and take in the spectacular views. Now for the really fun part… Safely strapped in to a top of the range sled you’ll soon be flying down the mountain on a 1000 meter long track. Cool running’s –- eat your heart out. A special handbrake allows you to control the speed, so you can slow down just enough to enjoy the vibrant Eco system.
Zip line in the Dominican Republic
Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic remains a favorite holiday destination for its palm fringed beaches and excellent water sports. For those looking for some adventure, you can head further inland and explore the island’s tropical rainforest. What better way to do this than above the canopy, on a zip lining tour across 15 frighteningly high platforms. This isn’t for the fainthearted with the longest zip line measuring 2,500ft! Expect stunning views of the Dominican Republic’s Oriental Mountain Range.
Scuba Dive in Barbados
Known as the jewel of the Caribbean, Barbados is a scuba diving mecca. With favorable conditions throughout the year and good visibility, you’re guaranteed a special experience. Although beginners can enjoy snorkeling, it is highly recommended to take a diving course at one of the many scuba centers on the island. Head to the West coast to dive at one of four 20th century shipwrecks and explore a diverse range of aquatic life.
Dive with sharks in the Bahamas
Adrenal junkies can get up close and personal with a real life Jaws scuba diving in the Bahamas. Strictly for experienced divers, you will explore two locations around Nassau. Be warned, the sharks get very close. But don’t worry, you’ll enjoy a safe encounter with the help of highly trained instructors. If that wasn’t scary enough, you can take a shark feeding dive. Kneeling on the ocean floor , a professional guide will release food, whilst you watch the feeding frenzy in horror and awe.

Kitesurf in St Martins
Orient bay in St Martin is the perfect place for beginners with plenty of schools providing private tuition or group classes. Sheltered by the Green Cay Reef, the lagoon has become known for its calm and peaceful waters — a great place to get started. But it’s not all plain sailing, outside of the lagoon the 2.5 mile stretch of beach offers plenty of more upwind conditions for more experienced riders. If you can get to your feet, this exhilarating sport is sure to have you hooked.
TIP: I highly recommend you to try some of the best adventures on St. Kitts and Nevis islands, too :)
