Exotic Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica at Blue Osa – day 8
Last day. Last hours of our Exotic Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica. Sadness, hugs, even some tears. Business cards, photos. The 7th day we had the most difficult morning yoga class, and the the most relaxing one in the afternoon.
Today we have no more yoga classes as some people left early in the morning already. I slept very well again but still I wake up every night to go to toilet. So weird for me.
It’s 5.30 am and I wake up on my own, don’t need any alarm any more. I don’t even remember when it was the last time I was willingly getting up so early. Maybe never? But to miss even one of the stunning sunrises in Osa Peninsula would be a sin.
Today’s walking meditation card is about union. ”You are whole, you are peace.”
After another beach stroll we take some photos with the girls at the sunrise and I sit down on the sand to do some pranayama and write into my diary. I would be extremely sad if I had to leave today. Thankfully, the plans changed and I am staying at Blue Osa for a few more weeks participating on the following yoga retreats and getting in shape.
Today the breakfast starts later, at 7 am. I get some mango, pineapple and papaya with cinnamon and raw cacao. The others can also get omelette and a piece of cake.
I sit quietly enjoying my fruit when I realized today is the first morning when I am not chasing birds to take photos of them as I know I will be here for some time now. I just hope I won’t take the beauty of the place for granted :)
At 8 am, then at 10 am and 3 pm I am saying goodbye to my fellow yogis who are leaving the Exotic Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica. The whole day makes me feel a bit weird that they are going back home and I am staying … I am sad to see them leave.
”Don’t grieve, anything you lose comes
around in another form.” says Rumi on today’s walking meditation card.
Since now I will be on the other side – not just as a guest but also a volunteer. My first time volunteering ever! The worst thing that comes to my mind right now will be survive waiting for everyone to get the meals first before we, the volunteers, can grab our plates. Wish the most delicious cuisine ever already knowing the best meals will be a tough one.
On Saturday, the day when the people from one retreat leave and new ones come, we have lunch at noon but no snack in the afternoon.
In the afternoon I start writing the main article about Blue Osa and my ideas we can work on while I am staying here.
It’s extremely hot today so I go for a short swim as every day.
At dinner each person from the Blue Osa staff is surprised I am staying. They seem very happy. So am I. I’ve never built such an awesome relationship with any staff in any place like here. I love each and everyone. Blue Osa staff is my new family <3
It’s my first dinner with the Blue Osa owner and also with the other volunteers. We’ve spent a week together and talked a bit but it still feels odd to sit with them and not with the yoga retreats guests – a group of more than 20 people who will spend one of the Exotic Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica in this paradise surrounded with beautiful wildlife.
At 9 pm I am off to bed. The only thing I need right now is to sleep.
In the end I spent another 5 weeks volunteering at Blue Osa and learned more than 150 new things while there :)
