Facial treatments in MSC Aurea Spa on MSC Preziosa
On my first cruise ever, I was a frequent visitor to the 14th deck on the MSC Preziosa where the oriental paradise of MSC Aurea Spa is situated. Taking a private lift from the Yacht club, a ship within a ship where I laid my head every night for a week of cruising, I paid a bath robe only visit to the spa a few times per day.
But now I have a confession to make.
In my 28 years of life I have had just 2 facial treatments.
Staying on board MSC Preziosa for a week I decided to give them a chance. Third time’s the charm was exactly what described my situation.
And the 24th March 2013 was the day when I officially fell in love with facial treatments.
Out of 19 different facial treatments I could choose from, in my busy schedule exploring the glamour of all the corners of the MSC Preziosa, I found time for two different facial treatments – the newest Preziosa purifying and antistress facial based on the precious rhodochrosite minerals which relieve the anxiety; and the Aurea del Mare sea facial treatment.
I had the same lady doing both of my treatments. Ni Putu Sri Armadi from Indonesia was super professional, sweet, smiling and willing to take shots of me during the treatment each time I asked her. And she was also great at what she was doing. Ms. Armadi used the right pressure to melt away the tension.
An hour long purifying facial treatment is supposed to regulate the emotions. And let me tell you, I was full of emotions at the moment. It was our first day on board MSC Preziosa, my first day on board a cruise ever, and exactly during my treatment we just left Genoa port on the way to Naples.

I was lying down there on the comfy massage bed smiling at myself in the mirror above me and going through all the possible emotions not only because of room lights changing from green to blue to reddish.

I let myself indulge the beneficial facial massage that made a smile on my tired face, then getting the face cleansed with both milk and toner followed by the relaxing mask itself when my eyes were covered to get me into the world of dreams.
Listening to the light oriental music, my masseuse gave me arm and hand massage which always makes me forget about all the problems I might have. The cleavage and neck massage were also done for a few minutes to release my muscle pain.

After 20 minutes, she removed the mask and started massaging both face skin and my head.
Happiness, excitement, glory, joy, gratitude and inspiration were the emotions going through my entire body right there. And I guess it was really the precious mineral facial mask that linked them all into one. I left the Aurea Spa with serenity only.
Four days after I also tried the Aurea del Mare sea facial treatment. To get you a better idea of how it looks like, I made a short video showing the most important steps of the treatment.
