Some of the coolest cities in the world to visit for young travelers
The world truly is our oyster, and this will especially be true when the pandemic is over and we will be able to travel once again to our hearts desire. For those of you young travelers dying for adventure, beautiful cultures and people, places to feel alive again, here’s a short list of places to beeline to when you consider it safe to travel again. Whether you are alone or with your friends, you’ll for sure live it up to the fullest at these destinations!
Hong Kong
Some consider Hong Kong the Hollywood and Wall Street of Asia, making it an ultra-young, bright and super attractive place in its own right. Located along the Pearl River Delta of the South China Sea, you can also go on and explore parts of China. If you prefer to stay in Hong Kong, the dazzling night clubs, incredible architecture and super distinct culture will be awing for anybody. You really can never run out of things to do in Hong Kong, making it a playground for millennials or solo travelers.
Antwerp
Antwerp is an incredible, very youthful-minded location to visit in Belgium. Usually people flock to Brussels, but if you are let’s say under 40 and looking for something very different with an old meets new European vibe, Antwerp can’t be missed. The formerly fortified city is a rising fashion phenomenon and has an artistic reputation that dates as far as the 17th century along with a heavy artistic vibe you’ll find all over the city. Also, not to miss…Belgian chocolate!
Bangkok
Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand and one of the top destinations in the world. This is another insanely popular destination for young people as the city is massive, hosting a variety of cultural activities but not to mention the world-renowned beaches of Thailand that are just around the corner. Bangkok is known for being very reasonably priced, you can eat an amazing meal for well under $10.
Nashville
Nashville is the capital of Tennessee and a city you can’t miss when in America!
The city of Nashville’s most attractive features is that it is positively associated with music, especially country music. You can wander through the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, or head down to downtown and discover the multi-storied bars all playing different types of music. Get yourself a pair of cowboy boots and get dancing in this incredibly youthful, fun loving southern town. And that’s not all – there are also plenty of things to do in Nashville for those who don’t necessarily love country music, such as visiting the Parthenon replica or walking around the Farmer’s Market.
Marrakech
Marrakech is a destination many dream of visiting. Known for its unforgettable desert experiences, mix of French language, Arabic architecture in intrinsically designed art and tiles, you just really should not miss this northern African destination. Get inspired by the bright colors, the smells of the spices, and the way the Moroccans live. Take a train and go visit Casablanca and let your inner classic film fantasy come to life!
Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro is a classic. Samba your way to the beach in the special Brazilian bikini and live the lifestyle of the locals! This is one of the most beautiful cultures as the people are known for being friendly, smiley and they’re all just so confident in themselves and their bodies. That’s probably one more reason why Rio is such a popular gay travel destination.
The best time to visit the city is from December to March because these are Brazil’s summer months, making it the perfect getaway in that time of the year.
Each of the cities mentioned above is unique and has something new to offer. They also provide the perfect balance between cultural and modern aspects that any young traveler would appreciate. Whether you decide to travel with company or alone, you are guaranteed to have the best time and be wowed!
