Photo of the week – the cheapest place to sleep in Mexico City
You can see anything in Mexico. And that makes every day special and interesting so you will never get bored in this beautiful country.
One day in Mexico City, on the way from Coyoacán to Xochimilco, I saw a man sleeping on the road and people just walking around him to get to the bus station. No one told him anything or did anything to be sure if he was just asleep or hangover or dead or just homeless.
It was not the first time I saw people sleeping on the streets all over Mexico. One day in La Condesa in Mexico City, when eating pizza with my friends, there was a guy asleep on the ground so the police was called over.
The guy was completely knocked out and we really weren’t sure if he was still breathing or just totally hangover. But two policemen just punched his face twice, he fell down on the ground again and once they told him he should bring a pillow next time with him if he wants to sleep on the street again, they left. So I guess it is common and anyone can just pick his place on a street and take a nap in Mexico.

Exactly! I thought so too but they must be used to it, I guess.

Wow that’s crazy! The just told him to bring a pillow next time. I would think people would at least want to make sure the person is alive.
